Obama’s Bureaucrats Decide Your Fate

Obama’s Bureaucrats Decide Your Fate

President Obama, in a speech delivered to Congress in 2009, said the claim of so called death panels in Obamacare was a lie. But in other countries where healthcare has been nationalized, some kind of rationing inevitably follows. Healthcare bureaucrats, not the patients, doctors or families determine who gets treatment.

Obamacare calls for an "Independent Payment Advisory Board" consisting of fifteen political appointees who will make life-and-death decisions. Some call these death panels. The board will not be accountable to you or even your representative in Congress.

God values every life, no matter what age or condition. No government bureaucrat has the legitimate authority or the competency to deny anyone medical treatment.

TAKE ACTION:

Help us urge Congress to defund Obama’s death panels. Contact your Congressman today and tell them to stop funding for the Independent Payment Advisory Boards in the healthcare bill.

This goes completely against the intent of our founders when they created this country, and it also goes completely against God’s Word. We need to do everything we can to stop this from happening.

Those who name the name of Jesus will – if He tarries – have to reckon with having to make decisions similar to those faced by Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah in Daniel 3 – they will NOT bow down and worship this (or other) life-destroying government idol America has set up and they will NOT HELP FUND IT – via taxation. Good day.

My comment is to Ramaus! Have you yourself read it! The Indepedent Payment Board or anything Obama has tried to
Pass to the American people. This blog is dealing with
Issues from a biblical perspective. You sound like you
Don’t care what the bible has to say and that is the only true source for any issue! But most of the world
Does not see things that way but one day when they stand
Before God they will wish they would have. I have not
read it yet but I will make time for it just like I did
his health care proposal which needs fixing! Do your homework people or you will fall for anything anybody
says! Every life is valuable to God and mankind so if
The government is trying to do that it is wrong and
    It is sin!

“You sound like you Don’t care what the bible has to say” Gee! What made it sound like that. Do you often hear things like that?
I assure you I am most interested in what the bible has to say about making medicare more efficient. I, being on medicare, want it to continue and be available for you also someday.
So help me understand how the bible gets into medicare. Remember? The original discussion was Obama & medicare.

Do you really believe anything Obama says? If you do you are not living in reality. Do you really believe there won’t be rationing? Your blind, deaf, and just plain dumb.

  • Michael Mahaffey says:

    From Wikipedia…

The Independent Payment Advisory Board, or IPAB, is a fifteen-member United States Government agency created in 2010 by sections 3403 and 10320 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act which has the explicit task of achieving specified savings in Medicare without affecting coverage or quality.[1] Under previous and current law, changes to Medicare payment rates and program rules are recommended by MedPAC but require an act of Congress to take effect. The new system grants IPAB the authority to make changes to the Medicare program with the Congress being given the power to overrule the agency’s decisions.
Beginning in 2013, the Chief Actuary of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will determine in particular years the projected per capita growth rate for Medicare for a multi-year period ending in the second year thereafter (the “implementation year”). If the projection exceeds a target growth rate, IPAB must develop a proposal to reduce Medicare spending in the implementation year by a specified amount. If it is required to develop a proposal, the Board must submit that proposal in January of the year before the implementation year; thus, the first proposal could be submitted in January 2014 to take effect in 2015. If the Board fails to submit a proposal that the Chief Actuary certifies will achieve the savings target, the Secretary of Health and Human Services must submit a proposal that will achieve that amount of savings. The Secretary must then implement the proposal unless Congress enacts resolutions made to override the Board’s (or the Secretary’s) decisions under a fast-track procedure that the law sets forth.[1]

  • Michael Mahaffey says:

Hey Ramass, did you read the part about the Secretary of Health and Human Services fast tracking rations/reducing Medicare Spending. Sounds to me like they may have the ability to make Life & Death decisions. I will not be so naive to think that medical care will not suffer from these fast track rations. Hopefully they will not make one of these decisions regarding our life/our medical needs. Hopefully our lives will not be devalued as we grow older.

    • ramaus says:

“fast tracking rations” – No, I did not read this Michael, and you didn’t either. Why do you even expect me to read something that’s not there?

  • Adam says:

“Healthcare bureaucrats, not the patients, doctors or families determine who gets treatment.”

Oh? Have you not ever heard of pre-existing conditions? Currently.. INSURANCE BUREAUCRATS (accountable to no one other than the INSURANCE company), not the patients, doctors or families determine who gets treatment.
