Dearborn Michigan Police Hostile Towards Christians Print E-mail

Mosque in Dearborn MichiganAn ominous pattern of religious hostility directed against Christians is developing in Dearborn, Michigan.

 

 

Four Christians were recently at a large Arab Festival peacefully sharing Christ with attendees who first approached them. But Dearborn police falsely arrested the Christians, charged them with disorderly conduct and confiscated video cameras and audio evidence that prove their innocence. As the Christians were lead away in handcuffs shouts of "Allah Akbar" were heard coming from the crowd. But this isn’t the first time Dearborn police have violated the rights of Christians (see video from last years festival below).

 

 

Last year another Christian witness was falsely arrested at the same event.  He was eventually acquitted of all charges. So, rather than protecting the rights of Christians, Dearborn police continue to violate Christian’s First Amendment rights.

 

TAKE ACTION:

 

Help protect the rights of these brave Christians. Contact the Chief of Police, Ronald Haddad, and demand that he stop violating the First Amendment rights of these Christians.

Dear Sir,

 

…I request that you order your officers to respect the Federal laws on freedom of the press and speech in Public places.  Our nation's founders established law to keep any force of government from interfering with these God - given rights of mankind.  The Muslims who took copies of the Gospel of John on your street sidewalks, and, the Christians giving them to them, are not to be violated by heavy - handed police action.  If some violent activity was going on, your officers may have helped quell it.  The Muslim people have every right to share in the blessings contained in the Christian Holy Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Federal lawsuits are very expensive for any city.  The citizens trying to share the love of Christ with their Muslim community must not be limited by any force of government. The free exchange of especially religious teaching and debate is to be protected by the police.  Not the cause of being arrested. I believe you own an apology to the Christian citizens you arrested… Let members of various beliefs share with each other.  Segregation only breeds fear and contempt.  I know you do not want to foster that anti – social behavior.

Elena Kagan: Manipulative Activist, Unqualified for Supreme Court Print E-mail

Elena KaganHearings have begun this week in the Senate on Elena Kagan, President Obama’s nominee for the U S Supreme Court. But Kagan is unqualified, never serving as a judge and her past political involvement reveals a radical liberal ideology. 

An expose regarding Kagan’s years as a Dean at Harvard University reveals just how committed she has been to extremist homosexual demands.

During her hearings, Kagan has declared that the right to abortion must be protected, even as documents emerge that show Kagan manipulated scientific findings in an attempt to justify partial birth abortion.

It is very clear that Elena Kagan is a political activist, not a seasoned jurist. The Supreme Court should have experienced judges who have a proven loyalty to the Constitution.

TAKE ACTION:

Help urge the senate to filibuster Kagan in order to stop her confirmation (* indicates Senators up for re-election in 2010).

BREAKTHROUGH: Comedy Central’s Advertisers Bolt Irreverent Show Print E-mail

Jesus Cartoon on Comedy CentralComedy Central is currently in the works creating a blasphemous show about Jesus Christ entitled JC. This is part of a pattern at Comedy Central of airing inflammatory and offensive anti-Christian programming. But enough is enough.

 

We are partnering with a coalition of Christian organizations to pressure Comedy Central not to air JC. Over three hundred Comedy Central advertisers were contacted and urged not to sponsor the program.

 

The advertisers were reminded this show is potentially offensive to over eighty three percent of Americans who consider themselves Christians and many non-Christians of good will who have expressed concern. Not one single sponsor indicated any desire to sponsor this sacrilegious program.

 

But this doesn’t mean it’s over! Comedy Central has not pulled the plug on this blasphemous show. We still must urge them to stop its development.

"Allah Akbar" Shouted as Christians Arrested in Michigan Print E-mail

Christians arrested in Deaborn MichiganDearborn Michigan has become a central battlefield in the fight for Christian liberties. Just last year we saw Christians arrested because they dared to share the Gospel near a Muslim event ("Peaceful" Muslims Attack Christians in Michigan). Earlier this month these Christians were acquitted of all charges by the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

 

But even still, this did not stop the same police from arresting another group of Christians at this year’s event which took place just a few days ago.

 

Four Christians were arrested and jailed for speaking with Muslims at the event about Jesus. One of the Christians arrested said that they only spoke to people who first approached them about Jesus’ love. The next day three more Christians were arrested at the event.

 

And as the Christians were taken away in handcuffs, shouts of "Allah Akbar" (Allah is the Greatest) were heard from the crowd.

 

Join us in standing up for these Christians rights! Christians should not be arrested for exercising their constitutional rights to free speech and free exercise of religion.

 

Contact these Michigan Senators from the State Police and Military Affairs subcommittee, and demand that they investigate police corruption in Dearborn Michigan.

Afghanistan Government Leaders Order Public Execution of Christians Print E-mail

Protests Against Christians in AfghanistanChristians in Afghanistan are facing a major influx of persecution. A video was recently broadcast on Afghan television showing Christians baptizing one another. Proselytizing or converting to Christianity is considered illegal in Afghanistan, a nation which considers itself Muslim. And showing such video footage is considered an embarrassment to the nation’s leaders, especially President Hamid Karzai.

 

Already largely unpopular, President Karzai, has reacted with great fervor against Christians in Afghanistan. Two of the Afghan Christians who appeared in the video footage were identified, arrested and shown again on national television. The following day, the deputy secretary of the lower house of parliament demanded from the parliament floor that the Afghan converts be publicly executed.

 

All non-profit organizations (NGO’s) are also under investigation along with foreign Christians in the country. Two NGO’s have been suspended from working within the country.

 

Militant anti-Christian students have also taken to the streets, shouting death threats and demanding the expulsion of foreigners.

 

TAKE ACTION:

 

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the United States funds underwrite the Afghan government, and according to UN standards: Afghanistan should be held accountable. Demand that the United States stop the killing of Christians in Afghanistan.
