As the 2012 presidential elections approach new contenders for the Presidency are making themselves known. As Christians we must be thoughtful and discerning and prayerfully consider who deserves our support. We can’t afford to get caught up in the hype of the campaign season.
America’s God-given liberties were built on our Christian heritage, but secularists have been attempting to eradicate these essential foundations. We want to hear from you? Tell us what qualities you think our next President must have.

I want a decisive President, one who cares about the poor and the rights of the underprivileged. I don’t care about whether or not he or she is a Christian. In some ways, a non Christian president might be better. Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, render unto God what I’d God’s.
To those who would say “I want a decisive President, one who cares about the poor and the rights of the underprivileged,” I would say I want a President who is decisive in doing the RIGHT THING and cares about EVERYBODY and the rights of EVERY INDIVIDUAL. Selective enforcement of the law, and special (more than equal) class status is evidence of legislative and judicial tyranny that has given us everything from slavery to this mess we are now in.
I know why the symbol lady justice in American is blindfolded… so she can’t see the fingers of corruption and political correctness pushing down on one side of her scale…
Yes, this country does need a “true Christian” for president, but I don’t believe there is one running. Maybe that’s God’s will. Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world”. I’m only speaking the truth when I say this:…..”unless this country repents (which it doesn’t look as though it will”, it’s going down fast!!
God bless!!
However, in deeper study, the bible states that God has set up His church and bride to rule and reign in the earth. In early Greek, the church was called Gods “Ekklesia”. This word meant God’s governing body with in the earth. This church, would govern after the Father bringing His “Kingdom” to earth as it were in heaven. This can and will only happen when the church stands up launches righteous fierce God fearing men and women into America’s offices! We must have a TRUE Christian in office that will fight for truth, which is ONLY God’s truth not a mans opinion or humanistic values, and justice for all. A Christian President that will bring this democracy back to being for, of, and by the people. A President that will not fear persecution because of there faith. And we as the church MUST… hear me.. MUST continue to contend and pray for revival great awakening and the repentance in our nation. If My people that are called by my name would humble themselves and pray, then (AND ONLY THEN) will I come, and heal there land…..
I agree totally. Spending time in heartfelt prayer is where we need to be investing much of our time. And then being salt and light in our world. We need to be praying and helping to bring about Jesus prayer for His church, being in unity with one another. When that happens the world will know! Let’s do our part to forgive, forbear, reconcile and love deeply from the heart. It’s not too late.
I believe Christians everywhere should earnestly pray for God to raise up a truly Godly, Christian President for America; someone who knows how to hear from God and be guided by Him; someone who puts God first and foremost in their life, recognizing and differentiating between that which is holy and that which is profane, bringing blessing rather than cursing to America.
I also think that a Christian president is needed. What of congress? Should we not expect those who make the laws to be more importantly Christians than the one sworn to execute those laws? I feel this where we as Americans have strayed from the founding fathers intentions. Just a thought.
As our country was founded on christian principles, we must have a christian president who will follow thru with these principles. Failture to have christian principles will allow those who are not christian’s to emplament rules and or laws which will allow satan to emplament what he wants which is to destroy christianty ideals. Pray that we will have a Christian president who will follow god’s ideals.
Yes a President’s private life does Matter!
If this country elects a faithful born again christian into pulic office God can have marcy on the nation and heal its financial melt down and protect it from all her enemies.Put a Christian not just a professing chritian but a pratical one into the oval office
that is very true.because if in the offices with good governance are God fearing, the works of deception, corruption, illegal drugs, hazing, abortion, adultery, plunder and many other forms of covetousness will not manifest. And the people will be render respect to other people and neighborhood. No Killings will happen no famine and the harvest are plenty, all will be rejoicing, because a nation whose God is the Lord is blessed!
Honor Jesus Christ in Oval Office.

Along with a Christian President we need to have in office a senate, congress and judicial that support and live Christian values. The President is just one man in one branch of our government and until the point that all branches support Christian values we will continue to see a decline in the morals and strength of our nation.
Yes the America is Christian Super Power and it need a ture christian president which love to christian laws and values.
True Christian faith is evidenced in the way a person lives and the values they support. “Faith without works is dead.”
A true Christian is going to make decisions based on the truth of God’s Word and not what is politically correct. Righteousness exalts a nation. God will bless our nation as we trust and obey Him
Christ forgave the thief on the cross and took him to Paradise- therefore Newt’s past can be forgiven and we Christians need to speak out against the liberal, Pravda media and pray for God’s leadership in choosing our next President!
M. Bachman and H. Cain seem to have the fruit, testimony and holy boldness in their backgrounds to (with God’s grace judicially apportioned) fit the bill. May the Holy Spirit use them to reprove US of sin, righteousness, and judgement in their public discourses to openly defy and discountenance the works and purveyors of the darkness which has been ruining our nation.
Folks always say Christians shouldn’t “burn” their votes by voting for a minor candidate. However, voting for either McCain or Obama was a burned vote. The way to make your vote count is to vote for the most righteous candidate, period.
Thank you
It would be wonderful if Americans were to elect a Christian President that would stand with Israel, but a Christian is someone who has a personal relation with Jesus Christ. We are in the minority. Un-saved people love the darkness rather the light. I think that we are living a time in history that will see the end of America as a world power.
Past President, George Bush, Jr., was and is a born-again Christian, and he was opposed. Remember, Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world…but I have overcome the world.” Our political government does not, and will not, accept Jesus as King of Kings. We are not to expect it.
Our next President and anyone in an elected position must be ethical, moral, a US citizen, concerned about SERVING this country; not their interests or group, a servant and most especially a person of integrity. This does not mean a Christian nor any other religion or a deity relationship. However, most Christians must be this way or they are self-deceived and seeking glory and power for themselves.
Thanks!
we need someone to take a stand… so far we don’t have one. we need someone that will stand up and tell the public that obamah, doesn’t have a legal right to be president, that he is a socialist, baby murderer, and want to completely destroy this nation
I believe that we must ONLY elect true Christians, and through the power of god, bring this country under a more biblical set of rules. As a domininoist, I realize this likely wont happen, but its the only way to save America. If non christians dont like that, tough crap. I believe America is doomed to the fate of Rome.
The true Christian president would embody and enforce the values of a repented society. Until then, the lewdness and corruption of evil will still plaster the billboards and minds of our children, our families and this country. I am praying for a true leader that will guide the youth and the politics of our nation and those nations it is associated with back into the loving arms of Jesus Christ by firm example.
i do not care if our president is a christian. it shouldn’t even matter at all. america is not founded on christianity, our founding fathers consisted of freemasons and deists. america was founded on pagan ideas. so, to me, it does not matter if the president is christian, muslim, buddhist, or atheist. so long as they can lead america with new, fresh ideas for change, what difference should it make?
Mike, you do realise that Freemasons are Christians, right? Protestant Christians at that.
We do not need a Christian President. Our country was not based on Christianity nor should it be. (Many of the founding fathers were openly not Christian, such as Thomas Jefferson the very author of the Declaration of Independence.) I am a Christian and firmly believe that we do NOT need public prayer in schools or governmental functions. We have the liberties of worshiping how we choose without interference from others (including the government) and we are protected by the 1st Amendment. We do not need a Christian President to maintain our right to free worship we simply need a President who adheres to the constitution which already provides for it.
I totally agree with Matt. The US is and should remain a secular country. We can see too many examples of countries where your religion marks you for either privilege or censure. Sectarianism only breeds prejudice.
We need a real Christian as President, not a pretend Christian, because when the pressure is on he’ll sign any bill that destroys the moral fiber of this country. We need a President who will accept America’s leadership position and lead her and the world i.e. non-isolationist, “walk talk and carry a big stick”. The world is too knitted together for the US to think it can hide behind its shorlines anymore. They are imaginary boundaries only. With US leadership, we are sucked into the vacuum of another nation’s pull. Our current president is demonstrating the principle that a failure to lead will be replaced by others willing to lead but maybe less able, and that’s true internationaly as it is domesticlly. We need a President who will surround himself with wise advisors, who are trule experts in their fields, not just political hacks, who are owed favors for helping get the person elected, as that was GWB’s failing. It’ll be tough to that that person elected though because neither party wants that person in office as they loose their leverage. That’s why RINOs hate Tea Partiers and why we need to keep the Texan off the ballot.
Surely a candidate’s potential ability to run the country effectively is more important than their faith. I want a president who understands the economy, foreign policy and the needs of the populace more than I want one who knows his or her bible.
agree – watch tonight.
NO we don’t need any more delusional sky-fairy worshippers in the Oval Office, wasn’t Bush Junior bad enough for you nut jobs? Look at the mess we’re in now because of him! The United States is NOT and NEVER HAS BEEN a ‘Christian’ nation and we should not go down that theocratic road lest we wind up being governed like the Taliban religious nut jobs governed Afghanistan, and like Iran is governed today. NO MORE CHRISTIANS IN ELECTED OFFICE AT ALL PLEASE!
